Welcome to my personal web site.

I am Abhinav Khushraj, working currently as a Software Development Engineer with Citrix Systems, Inc. Florida since 2+ years. Prior to this I completed my Master's in Computer Science from the CISE, University of Florida. Before that I graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, one of the best engineering colleges in India.

At Citrix, I am in the Core server team for the remote access product Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager. MSAM provides secure, single-point access over the Web to any enterprise resource, including client/server, legacy, and Web applications, Internet and intranet sites, streaming media, documents, network file services, and XML-based Web services.  With a powerful set of easy-to-use, wizard-driven configuration tools, IT administrators can enable organized, browser-based access to the IT infrastructure – configured for each user’s business needs, with secure connectivity over the Web. I have learnt a lot in the portal and web space and also accumulated invaluable server side experience.

In my Master's I specialized in Mobile Data Management and Ubiquitious Computing. My thesis was about intelligent hoarding and reintegration within the Coda File System of CMU. Besides my specialization, Master's also strengthened the stuff I learned in my undergrad.

BITS, Pilani, laid a solid foundation both in terms of breadthwise knowledge in computer science fundamentals and exposure to interesting fields. Also being around with some of the brightest in the country was an awesome lot of experience in itself.

These days I am working on an interesting project in the semantic web area. With increasing disk sizes and the overload of personal information, it is important to find ways of efficiently managing and retrieving one's personal data and informatoin. The Semantic Personal File System Organizer uses RDF for ascribing meta-data to personal content for efficient storage, organization and retrieval.
